The Puffy Shirt

I'm not a trendsetter and I don't consider myself trendy.  I like to stay current but I always remain true to what I actually like and what feels right.  Otherwise I'd feel like a clown.

When Ashley Olsen walked the red carpet at the Met Gala, she looked gorgeous.  I loved her hair and make-up and I liked her dress but I was overwhelmed by those sleeves.  And now my go-to, Style.com is in the mood for poufy sleeves.  I never say never but right now, I'm thinking I'll sit this one out.

What do you think of these voluminous arms?

I think I could work with the style below where the pouf seems manageable.

But would I not feel like Seinfeld?

I was not a fan of Ashley's dress either. I felt like the sleeves were a cross between 80's prom and Renaissance fair. However, I like these big sleeve options. The dress is really cute!

I can't get past thinking how timeless and classic the dress would have been without the pouf...but then again, this is Ashley Olsen we're talking about...seems like she's hell-bent on making a fashion statement (good or bad) wherever she goes. I do, however, like the silhouettes in the Style.com layout!

Oh man, she does look gorgeous but those sleeves are a little over the top. I'm not a huge fan of the puffy sleeve look, however a slight ruffle is okay with me! I just found your blog and really like it--please check out mine!
